Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience; hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients and families at end of life.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and symptoms; document changes accurately.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospice policies.
- Provide end-of-life care, symptom management, and emotional support to patients and families.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding the dying process, pain management, and comfort care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs as needed.
