Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist — Inpatient/Outpatient NM (ERCP, Endoscopy) with Travel & Malpractice Covered

Join a Gastroenterology team in Las Cruces, NM, providing supplemental locum tenens coverage for both inpatient and outpatient services. Assignment is ASAP and ongoing, combining clinical duties with call responsibilities. Schedule details are to be determined; call is via beeper with a 30-minute response expectation and typically 24-hour call blocks 1–2 weeks per month. Outpatient procedures are minimal—up to 8 hours—and patient volume averages 4 inpatient, 8–10 outpatient scopes. Typical daily duties include 2 phone consults, 2 admissions, rounding, and collaboration with an outpatient NP. Procedural responsibilities include upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP. Facility is a Level IV trauma center using Athena and MediTech EMRs. Hospital privileges are required. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Requirements: BC/BE in Gastroenterology, active New Mexico medical license or willingness to obtain, and BLS certification.
