Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Patient Population: Adults & geriatrics
Patient Volume: ~30 outpatient visits/day
Clinical Mix: 50% Hematology / 50% Oncology
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinical care
- Manage chemotherapy: prescribe and administer (physician + nurse oncologist)
- Manage vascular access devices / central venous catheters
- Perform bone marrow biopsies
- Manage bone marrow transplant patients
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and blood bank tests
- Participate in tumor board
- Document care in Epic
Support & Resources
- Nurse oncologist support
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Required Credentials
- Active Indiana medical license
- Board certified in one specialty with demonstrated competence in the other (BC)
- BLS certified
