Requirements:
- Active RN license in the practicing state.
- BLS certification required; chemotherapy or oncology certification preferred.
- Previous experience in infusion nursing or oncology care preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary oncology team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV medications according to protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage side effects appropriately.
- Assess patient condition, including vital signs and lab results, before and during treatment.
- Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, side effect management, and follow-up care.
- Document treatments, patient responses, and any complications accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and oncology regulations.
