Locum Tenens Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) — Correctional Mental Health, Green Bay WI

We’re looking for a licensed clinical social worker to join a secure facility in Green Bay, WI for a 26-week locum tenens assignment starting ASAP. This role is a full-time weekday schedule (07:45 AM–04:30 PM) and pays $54.90/hr.

What you’ll be doing

• Complete comprehensive mental health assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic interviews for incarcerated individuals.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans and provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches.
• Deliver crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and stabilization when needed.
• Monitor and document client progress and all clinical activities in accordance with facility and state standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and mental health rounds; coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, correctional officers, and other team members.
• Manage referrals to specialized services and support reentry planning by connecting clients to community resources, housing, and ongoing care.
• Provide psychoeducation to inmates on mental health, coping skills, substance use, and relapse prevention.
• Offer consultation and training to custody and facility staff to promote a trauma-informed, rehabilitative environment.

Compliance and documentation

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records.
• Ensure practices comply with state licensing requirements, correctional regulations, HIPAA, and PREA.
• Contribute to facility audits, quality improvement projects, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Current, active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in mental health, crisis intervention, or correctional/forensic settings.
• Solid knowledge of DSM-5, evidence-based therapies, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure facility and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
