Minimum Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited institution.
• Current, active LCSW license.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience; preferred experience in mental health, crisis intervention, or correctional/forensic settings.
• Knowledge of DSM-5, evidence-based therapies, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to work within a secure facility and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic interviews.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for incarcerated individuals.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities.
• Deliver crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and stabilization services as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with facility, state, HIPAA, and PREA standards.
• Coordinate care and referrals to psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, custody staff, and community resources.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and mental health rounds.
• Support reentry planning by connecting inmates to community resources, housing, and ongoing mental health care.
• Contribute to facility audits, quality improvement efforts, and policy development.
• Provide psychoeducation to inmates and training/consultation to custody and facility staff to promote trauma-informed, rehabilitative practices.
