Locum LCSW — Correctional Mental Health (Green Bay, 26-week, $54.90/hr)

Join a locum tenens role in Green Bay, WI providing clinical social work services within a correctional setting. This full-time assignment begins ASAP and runs for 26 weeks. Typical hours are 7:45 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: $54.90/hr.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited program and current, active LCSW credential.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably in mental health, crisis intervention, or correctional/forensic environments.
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5, trauma‑informed care, and evidence‑based therapeutic approaches.
• Ability to function effectively in a secure facility and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic interviews.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for incarcerated individuals.
• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence‑based modalities.
• Deliver crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and stabilization as needed.
• Monitor treatment progress and document clinical activities in accordance with facility and state standards.

Case Management & Coordination

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, correctional officers, and other team members.
• Coordinate referrals to specialized services and community resources.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and mental health rounds.
• Assist with reentry planning, connecting inmates to housing, follow‑up care, and community supports.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and ensure compliance with licensing, correctional regulations, HIPAA, and PREA.
• Support facility audits, quality improvement efforts, and policy development.

Education & Staff Support

• Provide psychoeducation to inmates on mental health, coping skills, substance use, and relapse prevention.
• Offer consultation and training to custody and facility staff on managing individuals with mental health needs.
• Promote a trauma‑informed, rehabilitative approach within the correctional environment.
