We're looking for an experienced RN to join an interventional radiology team in Columbia, MO. This is a contract/travel opportunity starting ASAP, Monday–Friday days, 36 hours/week, with a pay rate of $2,308/36-hours.

What you'll bring

  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience (ICU, ED, PACU, or procedural areas preferred).
  • Current BLS and ACLS; PALS may be required depending on the patient population.
  • Proficiency with moderate sedation, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and basic airway management.
  • Strong IV skills and experience with central lines, vascular access, and sterile technique.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, responding to emergencies, and taking call if required.

What you’ll do

  • Perform thorough pre-procedure assessments, including review of medical history, allergies, and diagnostics.
  • Administer and monitor moderate (conscious) sedation, watching patient response throughout procedures.
  • Assist radiologists with a range of invasive procedures—biopsies, drain placements, vascular access, and device insertions.
  • Continuously monitor hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, and airway status during procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields, set up procedural equipment, and help troubleshoot as needed.
  • Manage vascular access devices, IV infusions, medication administration, and emergency interventions when necessary.
  • Provide post-procedure monitoring, manage pain or complications, and ensure patients are safely recovered and informed.
  • Educate patients and families about what to expect before, during, and after procedures, including discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate closely with technologists, radiologists, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary care team.
  • Accurately document assessments, medications, sedation levels, and all procedural details in the EMR.
