Join a correctional medicine team in Cleveland, OH on a contract/travel assignment starting ASAP. This night shift role (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., 36 hours) offers a rate of $1,548 per 36-hour pay period.

Requirements:

• Active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience; correctional, long-term care, clinic, or med-surg preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in a secure environment and to manage patients with complex medical and behavioral needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct basic nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and perform routine health evaluations and intake screenings.
• Administer medications, treatments, immunizations, and wound care per protocols.
• Assist with triage and respond to urgent or emergent medical situations in the correctional setting.
• Accurately document care in the health record and promptly report changes to the RN or provider.
• Support chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) and address mental health needs.
• Follow infection control practices, facility rules, and security procedures at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with RNs, physicians, mental health providers, and correctional officers.
• Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and self-care.
• Perform daily clinical tasks including vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, and scheduling of care.
