LPN/LVN - Contract Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (17-Week) — Albuquerque, NM

We’re looking for an experienced LPN to join a contract/travel assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This is a 17-week role starting ASAP, scheduled Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Travel pay is $1,523 per 36-hour period.

Must-haves:

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse state license
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians—administering meds, monitoring vitals, managing wounds, and performing routine assessments to help create and follow individualized care plans. You’ll handle medication and IV administration carefully, collect and send lab specimens, and assist with urinary catheter care when needed.

Documentation and communication are key: you’ll keep accurate records of condition changes, treatments and medication administration, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care. You’ll also educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and home care, and advocate for patients’ needs.

Safety and quality:
You’ll follow strict infection-control practices, safely store and dispose of meds and supplies, and respond appropriately in medical emergencies using BLS as required. Depending on the unit, you may supervise CNAs or other assistive staff. You’ll participate in ongoing training to stay current with nursing best practices.
