Contract LPN/LVN - Long-Term Care (Keene, NH) - 9-Week Travel Assignment

Join a contract/travel assignment in Keene, NH as a Licensed Practical Nurse. This 9-week position begins ASAP with a consistent schedule: Sun–Sat, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,832 per 40-hour week.

Requirements

• Active, valid LPN license for the state of practice
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician supervision, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer and document prescribed treatments and medications accurately, maintaining adherence to protocols.
• Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for signs of infection or complications.
• Collect and process clinical specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records, charting changes in condition, interventions, and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Support patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management while promoting safety.
• Respond to emergencies using established protocols and BLS as needed.
• Follow strict infection control practices and proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Advocate for patient rights and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
