LPN/LVN Licensed Practical Nurse – Long Term Care (Tuscumbia, AL)

We’re looking for a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Tuscumbia, AL team on a 9-week contract. This is a local, non-travel role that begins ASAP and follows a 6:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule. Pay is $882 for 36 hours.

What we need from you:

• An active, valid LPN state license
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include administering medications and IVs, performing wound care, monitoring and documenting vital signs, and conducting patient assessments (medical history, physical checks, medication reviews) to help develop individualized care plans. You’ll collect specimens for lab testing, manage urinary catheters, and support patient comfort and mobility. Teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care is an important part of the role.

You’ll also:

• Keep accurate, up-to-date patient records and document changes in condition
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE appropriately
• Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support when needed
• Collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
• Promote preventive health measures like vaccinations and screenings
• Advocate for patients’ rights and needs
• Stay current with nursing best practices through ongoing education
• Occasionally oversee CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
