Rate: Travel $1,692/40 hrs; Local $1,264/40 hrs

Required:

• Active LPN state license
• BLS certification

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician supervision (medication administration, wound care, vital signs).
• Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols.
• Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate patient records (treatments, medications, condition changes).
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV line function.
• Care for urinary catheters (insertion/maintenance) and monitor for complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
• Coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff.
• Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow infection control practices and use PPE correctly.
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per regulations.
• Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and participate in health assessments.
• Advocate for patients' rights and coordinate appropriate care.
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and training.
• Other duties as assigned.
