Practice profile

• Anesthesia group: 16 anesthesiologists, 52 CRNAs
• Trauma level: Primary hospital Level I; affiliate Level IV
• EMR: Epic
• Model: Medical direction with expectation to respond to code and airway pages; may supplement with MD-assigned cases as needed

Case mix and procedures

• Cardiac, OB, full orthopedic, complex vascular, head & spine, neurosurgical, pediatric, thoracic (excluding open-heart), regional anesthesia
• General anesthesia for adult, pediatric, neonatal, trauma
• Spinal, epidural, regional blocks; use of x-ray guidance for blocks
• Complex vascular and thoracic cases (non-open heart)
• Complex orthopedic procedures
• Pain management: transforaminal lumbar & cervical procedures
• Advanced hemodynamic management and ventilation for acute volume/BP issues
• Invasive monitoring and line placement: arterial lines, central lines, PA catheters

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania nursing license
• Board certified or board eligible
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required
