Locum OB/GYN Physician — La Porte, IN (Call-Only 1:1, 24-hr; Travel/Lodging & Malpractice Covered)

Join a busy inpatient team in La Porte, IN as a locum OB/GYN providing supplemental call coverage. This role is call-only (beeper) with a 24-hour call schedule on a 1:1 rotation. You’ll be expected to respond within 30 minutes; callbacks are rare (about 2%). Shifts to cover include specific dates in December (see schedule below). Coverage period is ASAP through December 31, 2025.

• Dec 22 (7a)
• Dec 26 (7a)
• Dec 29 (7a)
• Dec 31 (7a)

Typical patient volume runs about 10 patients per shift with roughly 100 deliveries annually. Responsibilities include phone consults, admissions, rounding, and a full range of OB/GYN procedures. You’ll manage low-risk pregnancies, fetal heart rate interpretation, NST/CST/FSE monitoring, OB ultrasound performance and interpretation, routine vaginal deliveries (including low forceps), decision-making for cesarean deliveries, and complex deliveries (breech, multiple births, abruptions). Surgical responsibilities cover cesarean sections, repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations, ectopic pregnancy surgery, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive lysis of adhesions, and other major open operative procedures. Laser certification is noted.

Requirements:

• Active Indiana medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
