Contract Occupational Therapist (OT) — Fremont, CA (13-week Travel/Local Assignment)

We’re looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join a contract/travel assignment in Fremont, CA. This is an ASAP start for a 13-week engagement with a consistent 08:00 AM–04:30 PM shift daily (Sun–Sat).

What you’ll be doing

• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and environmental needs to identify limitations and set meaningful goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help patients regain or improve daily living skills and independence.
• Recommend, fit, and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Teach and practice activities of daily living (ADLs) to increase patient function and safety.
• Coach patients and families on condition management and strategies to promote independence.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing patient progress.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other care providers to ensure cohesive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries.
• Support patients’ transitions back into their homes, communities, and workplaces.
• Stay current with occupational therapy best practices and participate in professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Active, valid Occupational Therapy state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross (including AED).

• Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM
• Duration: 13 weeks, ASAP start
• Rate: Travel: $1,995 / 35 hours; Local: $1,967 / 35 hours
