Travel RN – Operating Room (Perioperative) | Machias, ME | Contract

We’re looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a surgical team in Machias, ME. This is a contract/travel opportunity to start ASAP, working day shifts with a pay rate of $2,564 per 40-hour week.

What you’ll do:

• Get the OR and patients ready for surgery by preparing instruments, equipment, and the environment.
• Serve as a circulating nurse or scrub, working closely with the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Monitor patients’ status, administer medications as needed, and strictly maintain sterile technique.
• Keep accurate documentation of surgical care and follow facility protocols to ensure compliance and patient safety.
• Provide clear education to patients and families about pre- and post-operative instructions and expectations.

What we’re looking for:

• Active RN license in the state where you’ll be practicing.
• Perioperative or operating room experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, organizational ability, and clear communication skills.
• BLS certification required; CNOR or other specialty certifications are a plus.
