Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatric radiologist to provide locum tenens inpatient coverage at a Level I trauma center in Detroit, MI. This supplemental clinical and call assignment runs Jan 1–Jun 1, 2026, with weekday and weekend responsibilities, resident supervision, and admissions/rounding duties.

Schedule and Call

• Primary shift: Saturdays, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Call: Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.; Sundays & holidays, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Call type: beeper with 30-minute response time
• Read all plain films, ultrasound, and STAT CTs on the worklist; cover STAT fluoroscopy; when time allows, read either neuro or body MRI depending on attending preference
• Typical ED volume: 80–120 cases per 8-hour shift; average patient volume listed as 60
• Admissions and rounding required

Clinical Environment and Support

• Patient population: pediatric
• Service setting: inpatient at a Level I trauma center
• EMR: Cerner
• Trainees: typically 2–3 residents overnight with one radiologist on site
• Temporary privileges available
• Travel, lodging, and and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements

• Active Michigan license or participation in IMLC
• Pediatric radiology fellowship training; CAQ in Pediatric Radiology preferred or eligible
• Board certified or board eligible
• DEA waiver
• Current BLS
• Recent case logs and a clean professional record
• NPDB report pulled within the last 30 days
