Requirements:

• Active RN license in state of practice
• Experience in pediatric, psychiatric, or behavioral health nursing preferred
• CPR/BLS required; CPI or crisis prevention training preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work with children and adolescents during high-stress or crisis situations

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric psychiatric patients (inpatient/outpatient)
• Perform mental health assessments, monitor symptoms, and document clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments per orders; monitor for side effects and behavioral changes
• Respond to and support patients during emotional distress, behavioral crises, and acute psychiatric episodes
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment; apply de-escalation and crisis-management protocols
• Educate patients and families on medications, coping strategies, and treatment goals
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with regulatory and facility standards
