Join a contract travel team in Lawton, OK, providing pediatric psychiatric nursing care on nights (7p–7a). This position starts ASAP and pays $2,052 per 36-hour week.

Core qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Pediatric, psychiatric, or behavioral health nursing experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS required; CPI or crisis-prevention training preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and de-escalation skills.
• Comfortable working with children and adolescents in high-stress or crisis situations.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to pediatric psychiatric patients in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Perform mental-health assessments, monitor symptoms, and document progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor for side effects and behavioral changes.
• Support patients through emotional distress, behavioral crises, and acute psychiatric episodes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and families to create individualized care plans.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and follow de-escalation and crisis-management protocols.
• Educate patients and families on medications, coping strategies, and treatment goals.
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and adherence to regulatory standards.
