Requirements:
- Active RN license in the practicing state.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Prior experience in perioperative or PACU nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures and patient care standards.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare orthopedic patients for surgery and ensure proper preoperative assessments.
- Monitor patients in PACU after surgery, including vital signs, pain management, and recovery from anesthesia.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate patients and families on postoperative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations.
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
