Travel RN – Preop/PACU (Orthopedic) — Meeker, CO (36-hr Contract)

Join a contract/travel team in Meeker, CO, providing day-shift perioperative and PACU nursing focused on orthopedics. This position starts ASAP and offers $2,308 for a 36-hour assignment.

Key qualifications:

• Active RN license in the practicing state
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Prior perioperative or PACU experience preferred
• Familiarity with orthopedic surgical procedures and care standards
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced surgical setting

Core responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments and prepare orthopedic patients for surgery
• Monitor post-anesthesia recovery in PACU, including vital signs, pain control, and anesthesia recovery
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies
