Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience in pulmonary, respiratory, or outpatient clinic nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments including respiratory status monitoring, vital signs, and health history review.
- Assist with pulmonary procedures such as spirometry, oxygen therapy, and inhalation treatments.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and respiratory therapies as ordered.
- Educate patients on managing asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, and other lung conditions.
- Provide care coordination, triage calls, and support chronic disease management.
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is cleaned, stocked, and functioning.
- Document patient care in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
- Collaborate closely with pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare staff.
