Contract Nurse Unit Manager opportunity in Falmouth, ME. Start ASAP for a 14-week assignment. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Local rate: $2,360/40 hours.

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Maine
• Prior nursing leadership or management experience
• Current BLS certification

Role overview:
Lead and support a multidisciplinary nursing team (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) to deliver safe, patient-centered care. Oversee clinical practice, staffing, and documentation while promoting quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring adherence to policies and standards
• Oversee patient care activities, including assessments, medication administration, care-plan adjustments, and accurate EHR documentation
• Participate in staffing decisions and scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage and efficient operations
• Provide education and professional development for team members
• Monitor performance and compliance, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes
• Coordinate communication among healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions
• Advocate for patients, address concerns, and uphold patient-centered practices
• Respond to medical emergencies per facility protocols
• Stay current with healthcare regulations and ensure staff compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
