Join a correctional healthcare team as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing mental health services to incarcerated individuals. You will deliver assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and case coordination within a secure facility, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support stabilization, rehabilitation, and safe reentry.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic interviews.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and deliver evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy.
• Provide crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and short-term stabilization as needed.
• Monitor and document treatment progress, maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records in compliance with facility, state, HIPAA, and PREA requirements.
• Coordinate referrals to specialized services and external resources; participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and mental health rounds.
• Support reentry planning by connecting individuals to community resources, housing, and ongoing mental health care.
• Deliver psychoeducation to patients on symptoms, coping strategies, substance use, and relapse prevention; provide consultation and training to custody and facility staff to promote a trauma-informed, rehabilitative environment.
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts, facility audits, and policy development.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Current, active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in mental health, crisis intervention, or correctional/forensic settings.
• Proficient with DSM-5, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure facility and collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, correctional officers, and other team members.
