Travel Speech-Language Pathologist — Lanham MD, Immediate Start, $1,754/35-hr (13-week)

Join a team in Lanham, MD on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This position follows a consistent schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) and offers competitive pay: Travel: $1,754/35 hours; Local: $1,726/35 hours.

What we’re looking for

• An active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

What you’ll do

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function.
• Use clinical evaluations and diagnostic testing to identify the type and severity of communication disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that match each patient’s needs and goals.
• Provide targeted therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, comprehension, and expression.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia, teaching safe swallowing techniques as needed.
• Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate.
• Teach patients and families practical strategies and home exercises to reinforce progress.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on ongoing patient progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
• Keep accurate, timely records including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Help patients generalize new communication skills to everyday settings like home, school, or work.
• Stay current with best practices and professional development in speech-language pathology.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
