Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Windsor, VA — 14-Week Travel Assignment

We’re looking for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join a team in Windsor, VA on a contract/travel basis. This role starts ASAP and runs for 14 weeks, with a typical schedule of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation is competitive: Travel rate $1,754/35 hours; Local rate $1,726/35 hours.

Requirements:

• Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing to identify strengths and needs.
• Interpret clinical evaluations and diagnostic testing to determine type and severity of disorders.
• Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient.
• Provide evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia, teaching safe swallowing techniques and strategies.
• Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on home programs, strategies, and exercises to reinforce progress.
• Monitor and document patient progress regularly and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to support coordinated, holistic care.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Help patients generalize improved communication skills to daily life, school, or work settings.
• Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
