Join a dynamic team in Rio Rancho, NM for a 13-week contract (ASAP start). This full-time role follows a 35-hour weekly schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $2,121/35 hrs; Local: $2,090/35 hrs.
Requirements:
- Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders; interpret diagnostic test results to determine diagnosis and severity.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with clear goals.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and swallowing function.
- Assess and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions when appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing techniques.
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress; revise plans of care as clinically indicated.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Support patients in applying communication skills across daily, educational, and vocational settings.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in SLP best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
