Contract/Travel opportunity in Hilo, HI — Start: ASAP — 36-hour assignment — Rate: $1,930/36-hours

Join a high-acuity cardiovascular unit providing peri-procedural and critical care to cardiac patients. The ideal candidate holds a current RN license in the state of practice, BLS and ACLS certification, and relevant experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or critical care.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care for CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses to interventions.
• Safely administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
• Recognize and promptly respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular diagnoses, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Accurately and timely document care in the electronic health record.
• Adhere to unit policies, protocols, and safety standards.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Required qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Working knowledge of cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and relevant procedures.
