**Assignment Details**
- Coverage Dates: January 1–3
- Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a–7a
- Practice Setting: Family Birth Center, Emergency Department, Inpatient
- EMR: Cerner
- Patient Volumes: Nursery census varies with 25–35 monthly deliveries
- Support Team: L&D nurses, OB/GYN, anesthesia, ED physicians, hospitalists, tele-intensivist support
- Reason for Coverage: Coverage gaps and expansion of locum pool

**Clinical Details**
- Duties include newborn rounding, delivery attendance for high-risk or concerning cases, ED pediatric consults, and rare inpatient pediatric admissions
- Procedures include neonatal resuscitation, airway management, venous access, and other emergent stabilization skills
- Shift structure includes 4 hours allotted for patient care or call-ins per 24-hr call period
- No NICU on site; providers stabilize newborns prior to transfer as needed

**Requirements**
- Board Certified or BE within 5 years in Pediatrics
- Active CA license required
- DEA required during credentialing
- Must have privileges at a Joint Commission–accredited hospital for 2 of the last 4 years
- Clean malpractice strongly preferred
- Must be available for listed dates

**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility accepting bids
