**Assignment Details**
- Start date is ASAP with ongoing coverage
- Coverage type is call only with 24-hour shifts from 7a–7a
- All listed dates require coverage, not limited to weekends
- Expected volume includes 5–11 twenty-four-hour call shifts per month
- Practice setting is inpatient only
- Rounding is limited to assigned patients
- Patients seen per shift typically range from 0–3
- Admissions average 0–2 per shift
- Phone consult volume averages 0–5 per shift
- EMR system is Epic
- Call: assigned and unassigned patients
- Call type: beeper with a 30-minute response time
- Call ratio: approximately 1:3

**Clinical Details**
- Trauma designation is Level III
- Midlevel support is not available
- Required procedures:
- Upper GI endoscopy including biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeding control, and variceal injection
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
- Flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
- Esophageal dilation and manometry with interpretation
- Small bowel biopsy
- Liver biopsy
- Insertion and management of Sengstaken-Blakemore tubes
- ERCP and EUS are not required for this assignment

**Requirements**
- Board certified gastroenterologist required
- Active Missouri license required due to urgent start
- ACLS, ATLS, and BLS required
- Hospital privileges not required with temporary privileges available
- Clean background required
- IMLC accepted when applicable

**Compensation**
