St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is actively recruiting an experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant to join our established Radiation Oncology, Cancer Center & Blood Institute team. This role offers complex, rewarding Hem/Onc care within a provider-friendly practice model that supports both professional fulfillment and work/life balance.
As a 145-bed general acute care hospital, we are the largest full-service regional medical center between Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. With a Level III Trauma Center and more than 100 board‑certified physicians and providers in both primary care and specialty disciplines, we deliver advanced-level specialty healthcare to ensure every patient, and their loved ones, have everything they need to feel comforted, every step of their journey.
About the position:
- Care Model: Dedicated RN support for each provider (all clinical staff are RNs; no MAs); physician and PA follow the same patient panel together
- Team: 2 Hem/Onc Physicians and 2 NPs; 3rd physician expected June 2026 with long-term locums support in the interim (no perm expected at this time)
- PA visit rotation: generally 2–3 follow-up visits per patient sequence, then seen by physician
- Schedule: 36 patient care hours, 4 hours admin (flexible)
- Clinic Hours: 8a–4:30p M–F
- Expected mature patient volume: ~15+ patients/day; follow-up visits only; 30m appointments
- EMR: Mosaiq
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of ID and DEA with full prescriptive authority
- Experience strongly preferred
