Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage in Dyersville, Iowa, at a low-volume, community-based hospital. This opportunity offers extended shifts with in-house call coverage and a supportive clinical environment.

 

Position Details:

 

• Schedule: Minimum of 3 shifts per pay period
• Shift Length:
• Primarily 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Occasional 12-hour shifts
• Call: In-house call coverage
• Provider sleep room available
• Weekend Coverage: As needed

 

Clinical Volume:

 

• Emergency Department: Average 4 ED patients per day
• Hospital Census: Average 4 inpatients daily (observation, acute, and swing bed patients)

Requirements:

 

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• ABEM certified or
• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
• ACLS, BLS (preferred)
