Locums Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Locums Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide outpatient coverage in Hackensack, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-supported clinical setting alongside physicians and experienced staff, with a manageable patient volume and minimal procedural requirements.

 

Compensation:  $90 Per Hour

 

Position Details

 

• Schedule: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
• Patient Volume: 15–20 patients per day
• Patient Mix: New patients, consultations, and follow-up visits
• Practice Setting: Outpatient Internal Medicine
• Team Structure: 2 physicians and 1 additional APP
• Support Staff: Dedicated administrative and nursing support
• Procedures: Minimal to none (primarily suture removal and basic wound care)

 

Responsibilities

 

• Provide comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care to adult patients
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Conduct new patient visits, consults, and follow-up appointments
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

 

Requirements

 

• Active New Jersey NP or PA license
• DEA and CDS registration required
• Local candidates preferred
