Locums Anesthesia Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Locums Anesthesiology Physician to provide anesthesia coverage in Jupiter, FL. This role includes a strong focus on cardiac anesthesia with additional coverage across a wide range of surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will be TEE-capable, fellowship-trained in cardiac anesthesia, and comfortable managing complex cases in a collaborative hospital environment.

 

Schedule & Call:

 

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Call Requirements:
• One (1) week of call per coverage period
• One (1) weekend call per month

Case Mix:

• Primary Focus: Cardiac Anesthesia
• CABG, valve replacement, aortic surgery
• Advanced EP ablations, Watchman procedures
• Approximately 25–30 cardiac cases per month requiring TEE
• Additional Case Types:
• General Surgery, Orthopedics, GI, Robotics
• OB (C-sections required; epidural skills helpful but not required)
• Radiology, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, Plastics, ENT, Neuro
• No trauma cases

Required Skills & Procedures:

• Cardiac anesthesia with TEE proficiency
• Arterial lines, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters
• Regional anesthesia techniques
• TEE certification required

 

Requirements & Certifications:

 

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Completed Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship
• Active Florida medical license and DEA required prior to presentation
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
