Pediatrix Neonatology of Houston, an affiliate of Pediatrix Medical Group, is seeking an outstanding Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our practice at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe.


Responsibilities
About the NICU: 

 

22-bed, Level II NICU; 100-150 deliveries per month.24/7 NNP coverage with on-call neonatologist at night.NNPs see both NICU and well-newborn patients.A positive and collaborative environment is facilitated by a very supportive relationship between physicians and APRNs.Flexible 24- or 72-hour shifts support an excellent work-life balance.Our physicians and APRNs use a multidisciplinary team approach in managing clinical care.Leadership, policy development, mentoring, education, and quality improvement opportunities.Strong, APRN-led Leadership TeamAbility to pick up shifts in Level III-IV NICUs in our practice, IF desiredExceptional new graduates will be consideredTuition Reimbursement Assistance Program (available to those new grads that start within 12 months of graduation)Sign-on and relocation assistanceAbout the hospital:

HCA Houston Conroe is part of HCA Houston Healthcare, a family of hospitals serving over one million patients yearly at 13 hospitals within the Greater Houston area. HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe has proudly served the Montgomery County area for more than 80 years. During that time, the hospital has grown to become a full-service, 332-bed acute-care hospital and a tertiary referral center. The hospital is equipped with a Level II Trauma Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, Level II NICU and certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

 

About the City:

Conroe has a small town feel with big town appeal.  The city is easily accessible via Interstate 45, which directly connects residents to the city of Houston (south), as well as to Dallas (200 miles northwest).  Conroe is situated 7 miles southeast of popular Lake Conroe, a 22,000-acre recreational lake providing residents with access to multiple year-round water and cultural events.  The city is also home to several parks, hiking and horseback riding trails, kayaking and year-round bird watching opportunities, premier golf courses, wineries and local craft breweries.

 


Qualifications
  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master’s degree
