Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist — Varian TrueBeam, SBRT/SRS, Duluth MN (No Nights/Weekends)

Join a team in Duluth, Minnesota, as a locum tenens Radiation Oncology provider to help supplement ongoing clinical coverage. You’ll work in a mixed outpatient/inpatient/telehealth setting with a predictable weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.—and no nights or weekend call. Call is beeper-based with a 1:4 rotation and a 20-minute response expectation; there’s no call required outside clinic hours.

What the role looks like day-to-day:

• Patient volume: 5–12 outpatient consults and about 25 treatments per day; roughly 2 phone consults daily and 0–1 admissions. Rounding on rad-onc inpatients is infrequent but included.
• Support: 3 RNs, 3 office staff; dosimetrist support is provided remotely.
• Facilities and equipment: Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, Siemens Healthineers CT-Sim with respiratory gating, and Varian ARIA/Eclipse treatment planning software. EMR: Epic. Two exam rooms available.
• Procedures and techniques you’ll use: EBRT with linear accelerator, VMAT, electrons; conventional techniques plus IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, and hyper/altered fractionation. Treatment planning spans conventional beam shaping, 3D-CRT, IMRT, PET/CT, EPID, and involvement in clinical trials.
• Hospital details: Trauma Level II. Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are available.

• Coverage period begins Feb 19, 2026 and is ongoing.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
• This is a clinical-only assignment.
