Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist — Varian TrueBeam, Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage (Marquette, MI)

We’re seeking a board-certified Radiation Oncologist to provide supplemental locum tenens coverage in Marquette, Michigan. This assignment includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities and runs from February 11–22, 2026. Temporary hospital privileges are available; travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Schedule & Coverage

• Coverage period: Feb 11–22, 2026
• Orientation: Feb 11, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Clinical-only shifts: Feb 12–13
• Clinical + call shifts: Feb 16–21
• Daily clinical shift: 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Call hours: 4:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., beeper call with 30-minute response time

Clinical Setting & Volume

• Service setting: inpatient and outpatient
• Reason for coverage: supplemental support
• Expected patient volume: about 10–15 patients
• Existing physician coverage: 1 Radiation Oncologist on staff

Support Team & Technology

• Support staff on site: 2 RNs, 2 nurse navigators, 2 dosimetrists, 1 physicist, 5 therapists, and 2 clerical staff
• Linear accelerator: Varian TrueBeam
• EMR systems: Athena and Cerner
• Trauma designation: Level II

Procedures & Treatment Modalities

• External beam radiation therapy (EBRT)
• Techniques: conventional/conformal therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS
• Treatment planning: conventional, MLC, 3D CRT, IMRT, PET/CT or MRI image fusion, electronic portal imaging (EPI)

Privileges & Requirements

• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available
• Credentials required: active Michigan medical license, board certification in Radiation Oncology, and ACLS certification
