Join a mission-driven, non-profit critical access hospital in Blackfoot, Idaho, as a full-time outpatient rheumatology provider. You’ll see adult and geriatric patients with a steady referral stream from a regional primary care network and a multi-specialty group. Schedules are flexible — choose 4x10s or 5x8s to fit your work-life balance.

What you’ll manage

  • Full-spectrum outpatient rheumatology care: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoarthritis, inflammatory conditions, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders
  • New consults and longitudinal follow-up care with coordinated referrals and co-management alongside internal medicine, orthopedics, pain management, imaging, and infusion teams
  • Use of on-site infusion services and advanced imaging to support timely, comprehensive care
  • Accurate, timely documentation and participation in quality improvement efforts and program growth initiatives

Team and facility

  • Outpatient practice embedded in a CAH medical campus with strong specialty backup and ancillary support
  • Robust clinical team including infusion center staff, nurses, and administrative support to help your practice run smoothly
  • Efficient EMR system in place
  • You’ll report to the Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer

Qualifications & compliance

  • Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology (BC/BE)
  • Eligible for Idaho medical licensure; active DEA required
  • BLS certification required
  • Outpatient rheumatology experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome
  • EMR proficiency, strong communication skills, and a commitment to coordinated, patient-centered care

Compensation & benefits

  • Nationally competitive base salary with no-cap productivity bonuses and quality-based incentives
  • $40,000 commencement and relocation bonus
  • Potential eligibility for state and federal student loan repayment programs
  • CME allowance: $5,000 annually + 40 hours CME
  • PTO: 160 hours annually plus standard observed holidays
  • Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision; retirement plan with employer contributions; life and disability coverage; malpractice insurance provided (tail not specified)
