Contract Director of Nursing (BSN Required) — Parkersburg, WV | $2,636/40-hr, 9-Week Local Contract

We’re looking for an experienced nursing leader to join a Parkersburg, WV facility on a short-term contract. This is a 9-week, local assignment starting ASAP with a schedule of 07:00 AM–03:30 PM and a 40-hour weekly rate of $2,636.

What we need from you

• Valid, active Registered Nurse state license.
• BSN or higher.
• Prior nursing leadership experience, ideally in a Director of Nursing role.
• Current BLS certification.

What you’ll do

• Lead and support the nursing team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Oversee and coordinate patient care, ensuring adherence to protocols and high standards of service.
• Recruit, onboard, and supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Maintain quality assurance through regulatory compliance, infection control, and patient safety practices.
• Develop and deliver education and training to strengthen staff skills and clinical knowledge.
• Manage the nursing department budget responsibly while protecting care quality.
• Enforce hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements among nursing staff.
• Advocate for patients, addressing concerns to promote patient-centered care.
• Work with quality improvement teams to identify trends and opportunities to enhance care.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation of patient care, assessments, and department activities.
• Support strategic initiatives to improve nursing services and perform other duties as assigned by management.
