Join a busy Emergency Department team in Mount Pleasant and Lansing, MI, providing supplemental locum tenens coverage from January 1, 2026 to April 9, 2026. This clinical-only assignment supports both inpatient and outpatient emergency care with autonomy for Advanced Practice Providers and attending physicians available 24/7 for consultation.
Locations & Schedule
- Mount Pleasant: Jan 17–Apr 9, 2026; shifts 11:00 AM–9:00 PM. ED: 25 beds; annual volume ~20,000; typical daily census ~20 patients; admission rate ~8%.
- Lansing: Jan 28, Feb 2, 10, 27, 2026; shifts 11:00 AM–11:00 PM or 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. ED: 50 beds; annual volume ~40,150; shared daily census ~110 patients; admission rate ~20%.
Clinical Environment & Support
- Specialty: Emergency Medicine (APPs primarily autonomous; physician available on-site).
- Support staff: 1 full-time NP, 2 PRN PAs.
- Specialty backup available for Orthopedics, OB, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology.
- Trauma Level IV. Paramedic/ambulance radio supervision required.
- EMR: Cerner.
- Malpractice insurance provided.
Expectations
- Manage typical emergency case mix, triage and treat a high-volume ED, and coordinate admissions and specialist consultations as needed.
- Work collaboratively with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams while operating with clinical autonomy.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan license
- Board certified
- DEA registration
- ACLS and PALS certifications
- Local provider status
This role is ideal for a motivated NP seeking short-term, high-impact emergency medicine experience in two regional EDs.
