Travel RN Diabetes Educator (CDCES Preferred) — Rockford, IL — Contract/Travel

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a team in Rockford, IL, working weekdays during the day. This is a contract/travel opportunity with an ASAP start and a 40-hour workweek; the pay is $2,424 per 40 hours.

What you’ll do:

• Teach and support patients in managing diabetes, including medication education and insulin administration.
• Coach patients on blood glucose monitoring, nutrition, physical activity, and other lifestyle changes that impact diabetes control.
• Create and carry out individualized diabetes education plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Work closely with providers and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Accurately document patient education, progress, and outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• Active RN license.
• Clinical nursing experience; prior diabetes care experience is preferred.
• Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDCES) is preferred — or willing/able to obtain it within the required timeframe.
• Strong communication and teaching skills, with the ability to engage patients and explain complex information clearly.
