Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist — Inpatient/Outpatient 24‑Hour Call, DuBois PA (Travel & Lodging Covered)

Locum tenens opportunity in DuBois, PA providing combined inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage from January 19–30, 2026. This assignment requires in-house 24-hour clinical and call coverage on a 1:1 rotation, with daily rounding, admissions, and phone consults.

Patient profile and clinical scope

• Adult and geriatric patients; average census ~12 patients/day
• General GI consults and emergent procedures; admissions required
• Rounding and phone consults included

Facility and support

• Hospital with 219 beds; adult trauma levels II–IV
• Cerner EMR
• Standard endoscopy and hospital equipment
• 24-hour anesthesia and specialty backup; full RN, NP, and hospital support staff
• Temporary coverage need

Privileges and credentialing

• Hospital privileges required; emergency/temporary privileges available
• Emergency privileges may be granted in one week or less with a clean file
• Name-clearing process requires provider name and NPI

Required procedures and experience

• Emergent GI procedures expected; EUS and ERCP preferred but not required
• Prior inpatient gastroenterology experience preferred

Licensure, certification, and qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania medical license required (IMLC accepted)
• Board certified in Gastroenterology
• Active DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to complete rapid emergency credentialing

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house gastroenterology call coverage
• Perform inpatient consults and manage acute GI conditions
• Perform emergent procedures as indicated
• Collaborate with anesthesia and multidisciplinary teams
• Document all encounters accurately in Cerner
