Travel RN – Emergency Department (Nights) – Opelousas, LA (36-hr Contract)

Join a busy emergency department in Opelousas, LA as a travel Registered Nurse working nights (7p–7a). This contract position starts ASAP and covers a 36-hour week at a rate of $1,724 per 36 hours. You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering fast, compassionate care in a high-acuity setting.

What you’ll do

• Quickly triage and assess patients as they arrive, prioritizing care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions when needed.
• Continuously monitor patient status and communicate changes to physicians and the care team.
• Keep clear, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient records.
• Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and families to support follow-up care.
• Contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives within the ER.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• Emergency room experience or a background in acute care is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills, sharp critical thinking, and effective communication.
• BLS is required; ACLS, PALS, or TNCC preferred.
