Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

Scope of care

• Adult patients only
• Typical case mix: ~80% oncology, ~20% hematology (benign and malignant)
• Patient volume: clinic supports a large panel (~1,215 patients/day)
• Phone consults included as part of outpatient care

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide outpatient hematology and oncology evaluation, treatment planning, and longitudinal follow-up
• Independently manage mixed oncology and hematology caseload
• Coordinate care with onsite Nurse Practitioner and nursing staff
• Arrange procedural care with Interventional Radiology (IR performs most bone marrow procedures); bone marrow procedures preferred but not required
• Document accurately and timely in Epic EMR

Facility & support

• EMR: Epic
• Standard outpatient oncology clinic resources available
• Specialty backup: Interventional Radiology for procedures
• Onsite staff: One Nurse Practitioner plus nursing support

Privileges, credentialing & compliance

• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available
• Credentialing timeline: ~120 days
• Compliance requirements: immunization records, flu vaccine or declination, negative TB test or QuantiFERON Gold within one year of start

Requirements & credentials

• Active New York medical license required
• Board certified in Hematology/Oncology
• DEA and other facility-required certifications as applicable
• Outpatient hematology/oncology experience required

Compensation & coverage

• Malpractice insurance covered
• Overtime: daily overtime after 12 hours; weekly overtime after 168 hours
