Locum-to-Perm Hematology & Oncology Physician — Greenville, SC (Inpatient/Outpatient; Travel+Lodging Covered)

Join a busy Hematology & Oncology team in Greenville, SC, covering both inpatient and outpatient care at a free-standing cancer center. This locum tenens / locum-to-perm opportunity starts ASAP and is ongoing, providing supplemental clinical coverage Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What your week looks like

• Outpatient volume: ~25 patients per day
• Inpatient rounding: ~20 patients
• Patient population: adults and geriatrics
• Practice mix: ~65% benign hematology, ~35% malignant oncology
• Team: 7 physicians and 6 mid-level providers

Clinical responsibilities

• Manage benign and malignant hematology and medical oncology patients
• Participate in tumor board meetings
• Manage bone marrow transplant patients as needed
• Order and review labs, imaging, and blood bank requests
• Prescribe therapies and collaborate with nursing for chemotherapy administration (nurse-administered)
• Charting in Epic

Logistics and expectations

• Coverage type: clinical only
• Call: if converted to permanent, expect call about 1 week every 6–8 weeks
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered

Requirements

• Board certified in Hematology & Oncology
• SC medical license or willingness to obtain one
• DEA registration and current BLS
• Clean professional record and current NPDB report
