Seeking a locum tenens Hospitalist to provide inpatient adult care in Jefferson City, MO (Dec 21, 2025–Mar 31, 2026). Coverage is clinical-only and supplemental, with 12-hour day and night shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM; 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on the dates listed below. You will manage general hospitalist cases, handle admissions and follow-up for your patients, respond to codes, and co-manage ICU patients with the intensivist as needed. Nocturnists receive handoffs; daytime rounding hospitalists resume care.

• December 2025: Dec 21 (Night); Dec 24 (Day); Dec 25 (Day & Night); Dec 26 (Night); Dec 28 (Night)
• January 2026: Jan 2, 3, 10, 11 (Day)
• February 2026: Feb 7–11, 13–17, 21, 22, 25, 28 (Day)
• March 2026: Mar 6–18 (Day); Mar 19–24 (Night); Mar 25–31 (Day)

Patient and clinical environment:

• Adult-only inpatient population
• Approximately 78 admissions per day; ~5 discharges per day
• General hospitalist caseload with ICU co-management as required
• 100-bed hospital with a 12-bed ICU and full hospital support teams
• EMR: Cerner

Required procedures and skills:

• EKG interpretation; conscious and deep sedation
• Non-invasive ventilation and acute/chronic ventilator management
• Intubation; chest tube placement
• Central, arterial, PA catheter, and PICC line placement
• Responding to codes and providing follow-up care when needed

Credentials and benefits:

• Active Missouri medical license
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• BLS and ACLS required
