Locum Tenens Internal/Family Medicine Physician — Leadership Role, $155/hr, Oshkosh WI

Join a correctional healthcare team in Oshkosh, WI, starting ASAP for a 26-week locum assignment. This role typically follows an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and pays $155/hour.

Who we’re looking for

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Prior correctional healthcare experience is strongly preferred
• Experience treating older adults with multiple co-morbidities is important
• Long-term care or chronic care management experience is a strong plus
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills

What you’ll do

• Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for all healthcare services in the facility
• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Ensure the facility meets state, federal, and correctional healthcare regulations
• Supervise, mentor, and support physicians and advanced practice providers
• Manage and review complex medical cases, especially chronic disease and long-term care needs
• Work closely with nursing, mental health, administrative, and security teams to coordinate care
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives
• Address clinical risk management, utilization review, and medical grievances as needed
