Night Hospitalist (Internal Medicine) — Rome, NY | $325K Base, 7-on/7-off, Full Benefits

Join a busy community hospital in Rome, NY as an inpatient/outpatient internal medicine clinician working a nocturnist/hospitalist schedule. You’ll cover a 7p–7a shift on a 7-on/7-off rotation, managing 5–10 patients per night and providing comprehensive care across admissions from the ED and direct admits from referring physicians.

What you’ll do

• Admit, evaluate, and manage adult inpatients, providing thorough documentation and clear treatment plans.
• Monitor and treat acute medical conditions on the hospitalist service, including patients in the open ICU, with 24/7 intensivist consultant support for complex cases.
• Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, case managers, and ancillary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and good transitions of care.

Schedule & setting

• Permanent position with immediate start (ASAP) and ongoing coverage.
• Clinical-only role covering inpatient and some outpatient responsibilities.
• Night shift: 7p–7a, 7 days on/7 days off.

Qualifications

• Active NY medical license or willingness to obtain one.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• DEA registration and a clean professional record.
• At least 1 year of hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred.

• Guaranteed base salary: $325,000 annually.
