Overview
We’re seeking an interventional radiologist for locum tenens coverage at an acute care hospital in Dover, OH. This is clinical-only coverage starting February 23, 2026, with a minimum six-month commitment (26 weeks with option to extend) and at least one week per month required. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Patient mix and volume
You’ll care for adult and geriatric patients across inpatient, outpatient, and STAT settings. Daily reads vary by modality and procedural load, averaging up to roughly 50–70 reads per day. The interventional caseload is about 12 procedures per week plus roughly 10 fluoroscopy cases.

Facility and support
The hospital uses Epic for the EMR and AGFA EI PACS with PowerScribe 360 voice recognition. You’ll have radiology technologists, nursing support, and subspecialty radiology backup within the system. This assignment is for supplemental locum coverage.

Privileges, credentialing, and compliance
Hospital privileges are required. Expect credentialing to take approximately 60–90 days.

Compensation and travel
Rate: TBD. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Required procedures and scope
You should be comfortable performing and interpreting:

• CT- and ultrasound-guided procedures (abscess drainages, biopsies, chest tubes, thyroid FNA, lumbar punctures, myelograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis)
• Nephrostomy tube exchanges and placements
• Suprapubic catheter placements
• Lung, liver, and kidney biopsies
• PICC, port, and dialysis catheter placements
• Fluoroscopy examinations
  You’ll also provide general diagnostic reads for CT, MRI, and X-ray studies.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio medical license required; IMLC accepted if LOQ is in hand
• Board certified in Radiology
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 3 years’ radiology experience
• Comfortable managing a predominantly diagnostic workflow with interventional responsibilities and variable case volumes

Primary responsibilities

• Provide interventional radiology services alongside general diagnostic coverage
• Interpret CT, MRI, and X-ray studies from inpatient, outpatient, and STAT worklists
• Perform fluoroscopic and image-guided procedures and read cases between procedures to maintain workflow
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support timely patient care
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in Epic and PACS systems
